Adhesive capsulitis(Frozen Shoulder)
Frozen shoulder (also known as adhesive capsulitis) causes inflammation, scarring and tightening of the connective tissue surrounding the shoulder joint, resulting in shoulder pain and a marked loss of shoulder movement.
Frozen shoulder commonly occurs in women and men over 40 years of age and affects women more. It can happen to people affected with shoulder injury, or those who have undergone shoulder surgery, people with poor posture, diabetes, auto immune disorders.
There are a number of exercises for frozen shoulder.These stretching exercises should be performed by or in the presence of qualified physiotherapist.
